Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on Pylimo street in Vilnius, Lithuania on May 18, 2014. The construction of this buildings at the turn of the 19th century was funded by architect T. Rostvorovskis as I found out later...

Time

It was 3:47:08 PM :) Sunny day, sunny Old Town of Vilnius.

Lighting

Natural powerful light, natural May sun, heavy shadows, strong contrast. Not really good conditions for this kind of photography I think... I should take several shots with different exposure settings but then I would get 30x3=90 shots for Photoshop alignment...to much for my old pc! :)

Equipment

I use only camera but for about 30 times/shots! :)

Inspiration

The magical inside courtyard of Old Town surrounded by cracked stucco facades full of windows with the same view from it but different stories behind it... When you standing, looking up and understanding that if you want to get this kind of super wide angle image you must take 20-30 panoramic shots and then using photo and graphic software get it one, wide and interesting.

Editing

Yes, of course I did post-processing. Lightroom is my digital laboratory these days and no photo is not coming out without inspection, correction and creative adjustments ... :)

In my camera bag

It depends on what kind of photo session is gonna happen next... Camera, lens, tripods, filters, converters, remote controls....everything you need for specific shot...
