South Florida...they shy away from city areas only place ive seen them do damage is out in the evg nat park so prob in quiet spots....if u guys have a problem with them eating car wipers car lining etc wrap a heavy towell around wipers when im out in the everglades i usually just put a car cover on and they leave mine alone i replaced a wiper once because of them but with all the roadkill they are good to have...imagine if they didnt eat what they did the stench would be awful. once they get use to having u around they can be quite playful with each other ..where in VA? my parents just moved to Hardy
