Great timing and post processing. The white frame in the top right is a little distracting but doesnt spoil the image for me.

Great capture in B&W, the low key enhances the full emotion.but the raised hair is looking a bit out of normal.

Excellent shot, makes you feel very intimidated. I can imagine him to have a roar so great that an earthquake strikes at the same moment. Wonderful!

I had two Elinchrom D-Lite RX-4's with 26"x26" soft boxes placed directly to the left and right of my subject. I feathered the light to create a little more falloff.Equipment
Nikon D600 w/ Nikkor 70-200mm f4, handheld. Two Elinchrom D-Lite RX-4's with 26"x26" soft boxes.Inspiration
I wanted to do some tests with the strobes during some portraits so I had my very good friend, Billy, stop by and model for me. We are both very much into music, Metal being our genre of choice. A great song came on and Billy just started head banging. I captured a few with his hair flared out and then asked him to scream while he head banged. This is the result!Editing
Converted to BW, processed in Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 for a smoother, more contrasty image, then added a few layers of a High Pass filter in PS to enhance the beard and hair.In my camera bag
Nikon Cameras: D600, D5100. Nikkor Lenses: 70-200mm f4, 50mm f1.8, 10-24mm f3.5-4.5 DX, 10.5mm f2.8 DX Fisheye. Flashes: Nikon SB-800, two SB-600's. Benro Tripod w/ Ball head, GorillaPod. Accessories: Lee Filter kit, Vello Wireless Shutter Boss. I know that's a lot but you know what they say: I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.Feedback
Don't be afraid to use OFF CAMERA FLASH!!! It was huge fear of mine until I just sucked it up and went for it. You learn to control the drama of the image and therefor the viewers emotion!
