Excellent composition, Great lighting, and Wonderful subject. Great use of slow shutter it blurred the clouds and make it more interesting and add dimension to the subject. This is fascinating capture!

Wow what a wonderful place. Great lighting on the rocks and the clouds also look good.

Location
This very interesting photo, it was made in Rock City, Faywood, New Mexico, USA. In a place out of the middle of nowhere where long time ago there was volcanic eruption and made this city. They called it Rock City.Time
It was made at exactly 3:08:16 PM when the bunch of snow was about to be dumped here in Rock City.Lighting
It was winter then, there was a lot of interesting clouds, and the clouds act as soft box to filter light. The sun was about to be gone but i still managed to capture light through using long exposure.Equipment
Canon Camera 5D Mark II, with my wide angle lens EF16-35mm F 2.8 II USM and course with my tripod.Inspiration
I never see a place like this in my life, so when I saw this what came to my mind was WOW! I need to take photo on this place and I want to share the beautiful, inviting, and interesting characteristics to the world.Editing
I bumped up a little the exposure. In my camera bag
I have 3 canon cameras, with canon lenses, and tripod.Feedback
If you find a place where catches your interest don't take immediately the photo. study the terrain, think of what kind of light you would want in your photo, think of foreground, middle ground, and of course background. When you are set, so you are ready to make the photos. Remember always that there is a power of your camera and lenses and of course with the guidance of your photographer's eyes, you can help to protect the environment. There are places like this where beauty of nature is perfect so you can help rally to preserve it by merely sharing your photos to your policy makers and uplift their awareness so they will help to protect it.
