You sound like a true photographer. A bit crazy maybe but anything for the shot. Welcome to Viewbug. If I can help in any way with getting around the site, just let me know and please visit my site. Harris Wishnick

Location
One of many glaciers photographed at Jökulsárlón Lake, Iceland on the edge of the Vatnajökull National Park.Time
This is one of my personal favourites from a collection from my Icelandic Adventures in 2013; after travelling 5 hours which felt more like 10 on the long lonesome roads of Iceland in what once was probably a very nice vehicle, we arrived at Jökulsárlón Lake. Dressed and prepared for the freezing conditions we spent another 3 hours walking around admiring all the shapes whilst looking and waiting for the perfect shot. Taken on 13th October 2013 at 18:03Lighting
What caught my eye before taking the shot was the different contrasting colours, with the Crystal blue glacier vs the giant humbug glacier, and the golden light reflections.Equipment
Shot using my budget tripod which now lives permanently in Iceland and has been since replaced, on a Sony A77V with a 50mm Prime Lens at F2.8 fitted with a polarizer filter.Inspiration
The location was amazing with so many shapes and colours I didn’t need to find this shot, it found meEditing
Some slight post-processing tweaking using Lightroom but nothing overly complicated; The image didn't need it.In my camera bag
Before I make any journey I always plan what I’m going to need; Sometime travelling light if I’m going to be hiking or fully kitted out if there’s just a short walk. However I always take my Lowepro Slingshot bag equipped with my Sony A77V, Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 AT-X Pro DXII (My favourite lens), Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG APO, my Manfrotto MK394-PQ 394 Tripod, Spare battery and a bunch of Polarizer and ND Filters just in-case… Optional are my Sony Flash, Kit Lens 16-70mm and my 50mm Prime LensFeedback
Iceland has always been on my hit-list with so many amazing places to shoot that you simply couldn't fit them into a long weekend. Our Three day trip didn't involve much sleep, much food or much of anything else really; expect driving, walking, photographing, lots and lots of coffee and seeing so many amazing locations. The only advice I can give to anybody planning to visit Iceland is plan well in advance; the locations you want to see, a daily schedule, and most of all what you will need. Plan for winter not for summer. But most of all enjoy and have fun :)
