This is an outstanding portrait, although I wonder if reds are a little over saturated? It would work well in b&w too. I love the character of their faces, the wear and the age, the demure smile, the comfort and familiarity of the couple, a lifetime spent together. The portrait leaves the viewer with a glimpse of what these people life might have been like, yet it leaves you also wanting to know more. I also love the pale blue wall, it gives it a calming and pastel-like finish. Excellent work.
