I feel such a connection with the Lady of Shalott. I understand her pain and wish I could have done something to change her fate... even though she is completely fictional. Since I couldn't do anything any other way, I decided to give her a happy ending in my photos.

Here Lancelot is rescuing her from what would have been her watery grave. Instead of largely ignoring her and having only the shallowest of things to say about her, in my fantasy version of the story he loves her back and they live happily ever after :)
