Star trails
For anyone wondering how this is done, it is a 20 minute exposure of the stars. As the earth rotates the stars leave trails. Kind of like doing light trails of a car. When you point at the north star, you get this circular star trail because as the earth turns it stays on axis with the north star. (it stays in the same spot in the sky always) I hope this makes sense. Its a very cool form of photography and once you figure out the exposure, it is quite easy to get some pretty amazing pictures.

Thanks! Star trails are awesome. Unfortunatly for me, where I live i can see maybe 5 stars at the most. so I have to drive quite far to be able to get shots like these.

Thank you! Yes I believe I could get a similar shot in the same location. There is no special technique to this kind of shot. Just a long exposure.
