What makes this shot really stand out is the spray coming off the end of the hose- otherwise, it would have been just another cool fire shot. With it, the sense of battle is exemplified as if by the weapon pushing the beast back! Beautiful!

As a retired fire fighter I really dig this image, at one stage or another every fireman has to stand down the beast, very cool

Fabulous shot

Really fabulous David....all the key elements for a great image are here.. light. shadow, contrast ,sharpness. The movement is so well indicated too by the fire flares and the spray and smoke....love it.
