When did you get started in photography?

I took my first steps in photography during early adolescence with the grandpa's old Svema. I remember  trying to make some self-portraits  in a telephone box. I got into photography more seriously many years later after having read "Camera Lucida" by Roland Barthes.

What is your favorite camera and why?

I shoot with everything that comes in my hands,  but I have particular tenderness for slower, older, film cameras, like my 6x7 Mamiya. I take much more pleasure working with film. There is an element of surprise  in analog photography that is absent in digital photography.

Who are your favorite photographers and what do you like about them?

Francesca Woodman remains one of my favourite photographers,  I never have enough of her. The trip inside her mind that she offers us though her photography is always full of unexpected  things. I like artists with beautiful mysterious minds.
